It also includes instruction within the Independent Living portion of the program as well as apartment rent (including cable and all utilities) and a $55.00 per week per student grocery allotment. Transportation to and from OPTIONS activities, supervision at recreational activities, medical support via our Nursing staff, and tutorial support during study hours at the apartments are also included. Families requiring a more specific breakdown of costs should contact OPTIONS.

Tax-Deductible Expenses

OPTIONS provides special education services. An OPTIONS education may be considered a deductible medical care expense under the Internal Revenue Code (Section 213). Before taking a tax deduction for expenses relating to the special education of a student, parents should consult with their attorney or tax professional.
