Collaborative Support

Faculty and Staff at OPTIONS

OPTIONS staff collaborate across academics, independent living, speech and language, vocational development, and student services.

A confidential first conversation about readiness, support needs, and program fit.

Meet the OPTIONS Team

Students are supported by a collaborative team rather than isolated departments. Academic staff, Independent Living staff, Speech-Language professionals, Vocational Counselors, student services, and program leadership share information so goals and strategies can be reinforced across environments.

Collaboration Is the Standard

Team members collaborate to monitor progress, adjust support levels, align goals across environments, and reinforce strategies consistently. This reduces the risk that a student succeeds in one setting but cannot transfer the same skills to another.

One Student. One Coordinated Team.

Support Works Better When the Adults Work Together

OPTIONS programming can involve academic staff, Independent Living staff, Vocational Counselors, the College Liaison, Speech & Language professionals, administration, nursing and other support personnel. The value is not simply the number of services; it is the coordination among people who see the student in different adult environments.

  • Academic and college-transition coordination
  • Vocational counseling and workplace monitoring
  • Independent living and life-skills coaching
  • Communication across the student’s individualized program

A Clearer Path Forward Starts With Understanding Fit

OPTIONS does not expect independence all at once. An admissions conversation is a practical first step to understand readiness, support needs, and whether the program aligns with your student.

Admissions Conversation

Begin with a confidential conversation focused on fit, not pressure.
