Jocelyn Keehn
With a background encompassing a B.S. in Public Relations, M.S.Ed in Educational Psychology-Counselor Education, 4 years of experience in teen program Crisis Intervention (CPI), and 13 years of teaching, Jocelyn Turner Keehn is a passionate faculty member, Arrowsmith Instructor, and clinical team member, at Brehm Preparatory School. Her journey has been enriched by valuable experiences, including previous roles as a school and residential program counselor. Jocelyn's dedication to students with complex learning disabilities became evident during her graduate school days. As she started counseling students and delved into the world of teaching, she found herself most inspired by students who demanded creative approaches. Her early professional experience working with teenagers in therapeutic intervention programs enabled her to appreciate diverse needs and embrace innovative problem-solving. Jocelyn began working at Brehm in 2012. While she has taught a number of academic classes over the years, the Arrowsmith program has been her primary role. As an Arrowsmith teacher, Jocelyn seeks to facilitate cognitive change by fostering a sense of confidence in her students as they tackle challenges together and celebrate moments of personal growth. The most rewarding moments for Jocelyn are those instances when a student's struggle transforms into a victory, allowing him/her to recognize themself as capable. Jocelyn's impact extends beyond academics at Brehm. Her additional roles at Brehm have included: dorm parent, student life assistant, counselor, and Be The Change club faculty member. She takes immense pride in Brehm's holistic approach to education, acknowledging that learning extends well beyond the classroom walls. Jocelyn Turner Keehn's journey at Brehm Preparatory School is defined by her dedication, heartwarming interactions, and her unwavering commitment to fostering courage and empowerment.
